GLENN FORBES – PRODUCER / DIRECTOR / WRITER
Glenn began his professional career as a video production coordinator in-house at Sears Canada, producing training and marketing videos. Within 2 years he was promoted to senior producer, and one year after that was promoted to manager of the production department. Eventually he left Sears for Canadian Tire to become senior producer, producing communications videos for training and live events. In 1997 he formed Forerunner Films, which eventually evolved into Rogue Planet. Rogue Planet creates web training and marketing videos for many of Canada’s top companies, governments, and not-for-profit organizations. As a director, he has worked with an eclectic mix of CEO’s, marketers, stock boys, educators, politicians, entrepreneurs, mascots and celebrities over the years. Glenn Forbes has directed such notables as: comedian Eugene Levy, home décor expert Debbie Travis, the first man to conquer Mt. Everest Sir Edmund Hillary, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, singer Donny Osmond, Mickey Mouse, and Ronald McDonald. A skilled filmmaker and screenwriter, he has also made several films which have won dozens of awards on the film festival circuit and have been broadcast around the world.
